Project Psalm 25

Psalm 25 Aleph:  A little background; This Psalm in its original Hebrew form was comprised of lines that began with a successive letter in the Hebrew alphabet.  The letters aleph, lamed, and pe open the first, middle, and last lines of the Psalm.

To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul

25:11 lamed

For the sake of your name, Lord,
pardon my guilt, though it is great.

from all its distress!

When it was adapted  by the Greeks from the Phoenicians, aleph became the  first letter in the Greek alphabet,  alpha, and is now synonymous with the word first, the number one  and God.
