Project Psalm 27

27:10

Even if my father and mother
forsake me,
the Lord will take me in.

If you can not trust your parents, who can you trust?  God. It is as simple as that. Trust in God, may seem a bit cliche but it simply is the truth.  This statement is so profound because it is not just about calling out to God when you are in trouble.  Go deeper.

We sin.  I am  sinner.  Some sin more than others, and some sins are seemingly unforgivable.  Our concept of what is acceptable and what isn’t is based on our experiences and societal values. We tend to spend a lot of time worrying about other’s opinions of the choices we make.  In the end what we think of the life we have lead is of little consequence. What your friends,  coworkers, brothers, sisters, parents think have no value in Heaven.  We need to worry about what God thinks. Although it seems impossible to live the life of a Saint, there is always the reassurance that God forgives.

When no one understands, when everyone seemingly turns their backs on you, when you are scared, fearful, ashamed, uncertain, tired of the trials of this life, you do not feel you can pick up that cross one more time or you are heavy with your own self disappointment; trust in God.

God saves. God loves. God forgives.
