Project Psalms~Psalm 43~At My Father’s House

Psalm 43:4

That I may come to the altar of God,
to God, my joy, my delight.
Then I will praise you with the harp,
O God, my God.

Sometimes I do not want to go to church. Honestly, I wake up and think this bed feels so good.  I could just stay here and sleep.  Then I remember what church is.  It is not just a building, a meeting place, or even simply a place of worship.  It is the house of God.  It is our Father’s house.  I go to church to see and talk and share a meal with our Father.

The body and blood of the Son heal me.  The words of the Gospel nourishes my soul.

I go to church to praise and thank Him. Sometimes I even rant at Him, question Him… frustrated. I am His daughter imperfect and lacking in knowledge and wisdom to discern His will..the point of it all.  But, my heavenly Father patiently waits to receive me so that I may receive  His  Grace. I am a child, who knows everything and nothing at all.  He is my Father who knows the sum of it all.

(Hebrew for ~the sum of it all)
